Also on this year’s Day of the renewable energies, many companies opened their plants to show how wind and sun can be brought to use. In the logistics centre of Rostock WIND-projekt presented the recently installed prototype of the NORDEX wind turbine N117. WIND-projekt used the opportunity to present the first registered hydrogen car in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to a wider public. The CEO of WIND-projekt, Carlo Schmidt, presented proudly the fuel cell powered Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell to the interested guests. The mayor of Rostock, Roland Methling, took a test drive and made his own experiences with the drive system. Afterwards Mr. Methling and Mr. Schmidt discussed the current status of hydrogen mobility and hydrogen technology in general in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Germany. Mr. Methling welcomes the initiative of WIND-projekt to promote mobility based on hydrogen in Rostock and expressed his support for the implementation.
